Tax Acquired Property

The Town of Palermo is accepting sealed bids for the following tax acquired property:

 2676 N Palermo Rd;       Map R 8, Lot 26;    1.07 Acres

 All sealed bids must be received in the Palermo Town Office by March 25, 2021.  All bids must be sealed and bids will be opened at the select board’s meeting on March 25, 2021 at 5:30pm at the Town Office which is located at 45 North Palermo Road,  Palermo, Maine 04354.

The bid must include the bidder’s name, mailing address and phone number. The successful bidder has until noon on March 25, 2021 to provide the Town a deposit equal to 10% of the bid in the form of a certified check or money order, payable to the Town of Palermo.

The successful bidder’s deposit will be credited to the total purchase price for that parcel.


Bids will be opened and reviewed by the Selectmen at the Town Office on March 25, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. The Board of Selectmen reserve the right to reject any and all bids. The successful bidder shall have 14 days from the date of the bid acceptance in which to complete the purchase. The property will be conveyed by a quitclaim deed without covenants. In the event that a successful bidder fails, for any reason, to complete the purchase in the time stated, the bid acceptance is void and the bidder’s deposit shall be forfeited to the municipality. The Board of Selectmen may thereafter negotiate a sale of the property with any or all unsuccessful bidders.


The tax map and other public information concerning the property may be reviewed at the Town Office during its normal business hours.


Note that the municipality makes no warranties or representations of any kind whatsoever concerning the nature, extent, validity, value or utility of any rights to be conveyed. Bidders are strongly advised to consult an attorney prior to filing a bid.
