Palermo is a member of Regional School Unit #12. RSU 12 is made up of the towns of Alna, Chelsea, Palermo, Somerville, Westport Island, Whitefield, and Windsor. Students in grades K-8 attend Palermo Consolidated School.

Secondary students have high school choice. This means that the RSU pays up to a certain amount for them to attend any eligible school.
Many Palermo students go to Erskine Academy in South China.

Palermo Consolidated School is located at 501 Route 3, between Branch Mills and Jones roads and is overseen by Principal Stephanie Oliphant.
There are three schoolbus routes for the Palermo Consolidated School, and a school speed zone in effect along Route 3 during the school year. During these times, we ask you to drive with care and respect that bus drivers are doing their best to protect students. It is against Maine law to pass a schoolbus while it is picking up or discharging passengers.

Monday - Friday: 7:45am - 8:05am
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:15pm - 2:40pm
Wednesday: 1:15pm - 1:40pm
