You can get hunting, fishing, and most trapping licenses through the Inland Fisheries & Wildlife web portal, or in person at the Town Office.


Residents: $26 (Season) / 1 day: $12

Non Residents: $64 (Season)

15 day: $48 / 7 day: $44 / 3 day: $24 / 1 day: $12

You must be 16 or older to use a fishing license.

Survey maps of Waldo County lakes, including Bowler, Jump, Chisholm, Beech, Sheepscot, Saban, Prescot, Foster, and Belden ponds.

You will need proof of identification and your previous Hunting License or Hunter Safety course number to receive a new license.

Palermo is home to a State Fisheries Rearing Facility that opened in 1947. The annual production is about 100,000 catchable fish, mostly brook & brown trout.
